Pit Safety
Loose foam pit are good training tool used to learn new skill safely. However loose foam pits are not designs for landing or learning landing skills. All pits are training aids. Land with proper body position
1. With the loose foam pit make sure the foam pieces are” fluffed”(not packed down before use)
2. Always land right side up and tuck and roll on to your back- to prevent foot injury
3. NEVER land in the pit on your stomach or head. Remember, feet first tuck and roll on your back. Do not attempt to land as you would on a regular mat. Tuck and roll as you land.
4. Avoid landing close to the edge of the pit.
5. Make sure that the student before you has finished their skill and climbed out of the pit, before you begin your skill.
6. The pit is just like any other piece of equipment in the gym. Take your participation seriously, follow the rules.
